Nasarawa State Government to Strengthen Relationship with the Peoples Republic of China

His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura has expressed the readiness of the Nasarawa State Government to enhance its relationship with the Peoples Republic of China and its provinces.

Governor Almakura's made the aim of strengthen relations the highlight of his visit the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Zhau Pingjan at the Chinese Embassy Abuja.

The Governor explained that with available resources in agriculture and solid minerals, the state is ready to receive investors from China and other countries. Affirming that the state government is confident in collaborating with China as exemplified in the number of Chinese companies doing business in the state, Gov Almakura further urged other Chinese investors to see the need to invest in the thirteen thousand hectares in Gurku-Kabusu.

Appreciating the offer of friendship by the Government and people of Nasarawa state, Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria assured that his country is ready to offer its hand towards collaborating with the government to the overall benefit of the people of the state.

He said his country has a lot to offer in a bid to further promote the bilateral corporation between Nigeria and China, saying the business environment the country presents is encouraging thereby giving China the desire to invest in Nigeria especially in Nasarawa State.
