His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura has restated his administration',s commitment towards up lifting the standard of education in Nasarawa State, by ensuring that all schools are rehabilitated to ensure a conducive learning environment.
Gov. Almakura made this known as he visited the LGEA Primary School Ashige in Lafia in the company of the Hon. Commissioner of Education Hon. Aliyu Tijjani Ahmed and other government officials.
Gov. Almakura who met the pupils of the school as they were lining up to starts their games , spoke to them assuring them that rehabilitation work would start on their school within the week and he would ensure they were provided with better sports facilities.
Lastly. the Governor advised he students to read hard and be obedient to their parents and teachers, tasking them to ensure they keep themselves and their environment clean.
Gov. Almakura then took a penalty kick to test the school goalkeeper, who narrowly managed to stop the shot receiving huge applause and cheers for the students.
