Nasarawa Gov. Elect Moves To Hit The Ground Running In Provision of Enabling Environment For Administrations Industrialization Agenda.

His Excellency Nasarawa state Governor Elect, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule has expressed the readiness of his incoming administration to hit the ground running towards providing another solution to Nasarawa States power problem and ensuring that the planned industrialization policy is encouraged and thrives through the states friendly policy to investment .

The Governor Elect weeks before the formal handover met with a delegation of the foremost electricity power generation and infrastructural development company, Kuber Power Limited (KPL), led by the company’s Chairman, Col. (Rtd.) Raj K. Kalra.

The meeting which was centered on KPL’s resolve to invest millions of Dollars in building a 200MW solar power plant which will be the biggest in Sub-Saharan Africa, in Nasarawa State.

The Governor Elect assured the Power Company of Nasarawa states resolve towards providing alternative source of power to the state ( to complement the 330 line being dropped at Akurba ) equally assuring that his administration would do more to attract investments and thanked the company for identifying with the State, particularly in the area of power.

Kuber Power Limited (KPL), Chairman, Col. (Rtd.) Raj K. Kalra said that the impact of the Nasarawa State policies were felt outside the Nasarawa State borders hence KPL’s resolve to invest 240 million Dollars in building a 200MW solar power plant which will be the biggest in Sub-Saharan Africa, in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

Also commending Nasarawa State Government for creating the environment for investments to thrive, the CEO of the company, Mr. Bowie O. Atuah, said efforts made by the Government was highly appreciated by many hence KPL’s resolve that the Solar Power Plant, see the light of the day on the 100th day of the Governor-Elect in office.

The 200mw solar power generation plant will be the biggest solar power plant in Africa next to the Mohammed bin Rashid Solar Park in UAE.

The planned power plant would provide jobs for over 1,500 workers during construction and 600 during operations. It will also provide focused Community Social Responsibility (CSR) programs of energy, water, sanitation and healthcare to communities towards reality social welfare and an improvement in Nasarawa State IGR.

Kuber Power Limited (KPL) is a Nigerian established entity with the sole purpose of the development, construction and operation of solar PV Hybrid, Combined Circle energy facility in Nigeria. KPL is made up of Kuber Power Africa (KPA) and Bowie Hertz and Company Limited (BHCL).
