Photo News: His Excellency Umaru Tanko Al-Makura with the Director General Nasarawa Geographical Information Service (NAGIS) Hon. Sonny Agassi alongside the Nasarawa state Commandant Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp NSCDC, Mr. Mohammad Mahmoud-Fari as they inspected locations for the siting of the Nigeria Police Public Relations School and a pioneer Barack for Nasarawa state Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp NSCDC.

His Excellency in consultation with the Director General NAGIS considered the siting of the Barack at Bukan Sidi along Jos road, Lafia. Siting the new Barrack in that location would assist NSCDC in their operations to combat crime, secure lives and properties in line with their core mandate and also in fulfillment of Nasarawa State Government's pledge to donate land to the NSCDC.

They equally considered the siting of the Nigeria Police Public Relations School at Gandu along Makurdi Road , Lafia, providing a 31 hectares land between the Lafia Golf Course and the Federal University Lafia Main Campus .The Nigeria Police Public Relations School is created to enhance the police public collaborations based on mutual respect and understanding. It is also an avenue for the development of public relations practice, in response to the daunting challenges of policing Nigeria in the 21st century, serving not only the Nigerian Police Force but security forces from other nations.
