Gov. Umaru Tanko Almakura Urges Corps Members To Harness The Opportunities of NYSC

His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura has urged the corps members to harness the opportunities the NYSC heralds and dedicate their time to the service of their father land so as to impact to national life.

Delivering the speech of Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, Gov. Almakura affirmed the Federal Government commitment to the success of the NYSC scheme where the Acting President urged the corps members to embrace the Federal Government's policy on change begins with me, saying it is a responsibility that every Nigerian must uphold.

Speaking in his capacity Gov. Almakura assured the NYSC in Nasarawa State of government's support, just as he believes on the corps members posted to Nasarawa state to key into the ideals of the of the state government and participate in the activities of their host communities.

Earlier State NYSC coordinator Zainab Isah explained that out of the one thousand nine hundred and seventy corps members posted to the State, eight hundred and ninety are male, while one thousand and eighty are female. On his part, state commissioner of youths and sports development who doubles as Chairman NYSC Governing Council, Bamaiyi Anangba enjoined the corps members to abide by camp regulations.

The occasion featured a tug of between the Governor's team and that of the state coordinator as well as the administration of NYSC Oath by the state Chief Judge, Justice Sulaiman Dikko.

A total of one thousand nine hundred and seventy corps have been successfully registered for the twenty seventeen batch 'A' stream one of the National Youth Service Corps in Nasarawa State.
