Nasarawa State Government to support Proper Development of Shinge Cattle Market



His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura has assured the Cattle Market traders of the Nasarawa state support towards proper development and organization of the Shigne Cattle Market (kara) within the Lafia The Nasarawa State Capital.

Gov. Almakura made this known when he visited the Shinge Cattle Market during the popular Thursday market which had very large turnout.

The Governor who was received by His Royal Highness , the Emir of Lafia Alh. Dr. Isa Mustapha Agwai I stressed that a place where so many people make a honest daily living would be a place would want to develop as it would help the market growth and provide a more organized environment .

He said that the he had always passed the market on his way to inspect projects such as the Lafia Ultra Modern Hospital by this was the first time he was seeing it on a market day like this , he commended the market association and on such a large turnout of traders and livestock. He said the administration would support the growth and organization of the market towards ensuring the creation of carparks, bike parks , trading areas and other needed facilities to enhance the market.

He said the development of the market would go very well with the ensuring the proper use of the Lafia Modern Abattoir which provided all the facilities for a slaughter house which was nearby and ensure a good safety standard are maintained,

He commended the idea to setup a cattle market where such a large number of people could make a living and such a place that both buyer and seller could come and reach bargain that would be that would be mutual agreeable.

He said the government would look into the development of the market as soon as possible, he called on them to continue to show support to the administration and His Royal Highness the Emir of Lafia.

Also at the event were the Lafia Central NSHA Member Abubakar Mohammed Imam , Lafia Sole Administrator Alh. Suleiman Wambia , the Mardakin Lafia Alh. Ishaku Dauda , and other title holders.
