Engineer Sule urges Nigerians to take security as collective responsibility.

This is just as the governor noted that with Nasarawa State selected to be the pilot state for the National Livestock Transformation Programme (NLTP), the prolonged conflicts between farmers and herdsmen, will soon be resolved.

Earlier, Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator (Dr.) George Akume, in a keynote address, said the Federal Government, has adopted a paradigm shift in its approach to national security.

According to the minister, the present administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari, places emphasis on the people and not the state, aimed at enhancing the social wellbeing of the citizens.

“Community safety and human security links to the human development approach, which is about expanding the richness of human life, rather than simply the richness of the economy,” Senator Akume said.

To this end, the minister said the implementation committee on community safety and human security programme, is prepared to work with relevant security institutions, stakeholders and in-state actors, in expanding the narrative and intelligence for community safety.
