His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule receiving the Digital Governor of the Year Award presented at the National Information Technology Merit Awards recently held in Lagos from the DG and Staff of the Bureau for Information and Communication Technology ( BICT) at the Government House Lafia on the 2nd of December, 2021.

His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule today at Government House Lafia received the Digital Governor of the Year Award presented at the National Information Technology Merit Awards recently held in Lagos.

The Award was conveyed to the Governor through the Director-General of Bureau for Information and Communication Technology ( BICT) Mallam Shehu Ibrahim, Administrative Secretary Mr. Oriola Opeyemi, Ag. Director e-Governance Miss. Aisha Rilwan, Director Finance and Account (DFA) Alh.Bashir Tijjani, The Auditor, Mrs. Hauwa Mohammed , The Data Protection Officer Joshua Famuagun and the NACOS National Vice President and Programme Analyst of the Bureau Miss Ruth Samuel.

While handing over the award to the Governor, the DG Nasarawa State winning the award was not a surprise to all that have been in the picture of ICT/Digital Economy that the Governor spent precious time painting in the state in line with the Federal Government”s Digital Economy Policy as well as the Global ICT drive. The DG congratulate and thanked the Governor for the love, attention, and support for ICT and promised to justify the support accorded to the Bureau by the administration.

While responding, HE Abdullahi A Sule showed His appreciation that the State was able to win the award which wouldn’t have been possible without the genuine commitment, dedication, and support of the BICT under the able leadership of the DG, Management and other staff.

The Governor promised to accord more support and attention to boosting ICT in the state as can be seen in the Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy (NEDS).
