GOVERNOR SULE COMMISSIONED MARARABA UDEGE/UDEGE MBEKI ROAD 11th April, 2022

Nasarawa State Government has formally Commissioned the twenty five kilometre Mararaba Udege – Udege Mbeki road in Nasarawa Local Government Area with a renewed vigour to meet the yearnings and aspiration of the citizenry.

Governor Abdullahi Sule Commissioned the newly completed road at Udege Mbeki today. Governor Abdullahi Sule represented by the state Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe noted that the construction of the over three billion Naira twenty five kilometer Mararaba Udege – Udege Mbeki road is in line with his administration’s commitment to continue to provide infrastructural facilities for the development of Nasarawa state.

According to him, government saw the need to complete the road project, considering the economic potentials of the area, having been a major hub of agriculture and mining activities and pledged. While affirming that the delay in the completion of the road project was due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 which brought work to a standstill, the governor commended the Tongy Group Limited for meeting specifications.

Earlier, Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Council, Mohammed Sani Otto’s underscored the benefits of the successful completion of the road, describing it as unprecedented in the history of the locality and appreciated Governor Abdullahi Sule for his foresight and commitment that saw to its completion.

Representative of Chairman of Tongy Group Limited, the engineering company that was awarded the contract for the construction of the road, reinterated the company’s commitment at using their expertise to help the state develop rapidly.

Goodwill messages from the Emir of Nasarawa Alhaji Usman Jibrin, the Osu Ajiri, Alhaji Halilu Bala Usman and Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. John Mamman among those who spoke at the occasion stressed the need for people of the area to reciprocate the gesture by giving the required support to governor Abdullahi Sule and his team.

Meantime, Governor Abdullahi Sule’s representative, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe performed the foundation laying ceremony of Nasarawa Trailer Park and Market, courtesy of a member of the state Economic Advisory Council and Chief Executive Officer, Hilibiz Consult limited, Quantity Surveyor Aliyu Adamu Ewa who noted that he is constructing the project to bring investment home where indigenes will get employment opportunities.
