NASARAWA STATE GOVERNMENT, AZMAN AND COMMUNITY SIGN TRI-PARTITE AGREEMENT
Nasarawa state government has signed a tripartite deed of agreement for acquisition, cultivation and community development for the production of rice in Toto Local Government of the state.
The signing which involves the Nasarawa state government, AZMAN Group and Umaisha community took place at Government House Lafia, Friday.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule reaffirmed his commitments the industrialization of the state as a way of providing job opportunities for the youth as well as boosting revenue generation of the state.
“This project and many more ongoing in the state will expose our people to more fruitful relationships beyond imagination”. Gov Sule said.
While stressing his resolve to do everything possible in giving hope to the hopeless, Engineer Abdullahi Sule appreciated the Chairman of AZMAN Group, Alhaji Abdulmunaf Yunusa for coming to invest in Nasarawa state.
He then commended officials of the ministry of lands and stakeholders of Toto Local Government for the efforts and commitment to the success of the project.
On his part, Chairman of AZMAN Group, Alhaji Abdulmunaf Yunusa states that his coming to invest in Nasarawa state is in line with the philosophy of Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule of providing human capital development, support and encouragement for the younger generation.
“We are satisfied with the arable land that is abound in Nasarawa State and we are also at home with the community”. Abdulmunaf maintained
He added that aside invest in the state, AZMAN Group also aims at empowering the youth to through provision of job opportunities and also engage in all forms of corporate social responsibility projects that will better the lives of the people of the community.
It would be recalled that a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Nasarawa state government, Azman Rice Mills and Farms Ltd, as well as the Umasha community for the establishment of a 14, 000 hectares rice plantation.
